Long-standing event extraordinaries Chibuku have revealed some spectacular autumn and winter line ups this year, with the majority taking place in the three rooms at their home, the East Village Arts Club in Liverpool, but if intimate gatherings tick your boxes, have a gander at these special events taking place at The Shipping Forecast in November.
In the day, The Shipping Forecast is one of Liverpool's most popular casual restaurant and bar spaces, but come the evening dance enthusiasts head downstairs to the basement area, The Hold, for something a bit more full on.
The nautical-themed musical haven has been naturally linked with electronic music talent for years, and The Hold has hosted some of the cities most memorable parties. When clubbing authority Chibuku get their hands on a space with this much character, the results are spine-tingling.
The Phantasy imprint boss has been a figurehead within the world of electronic music since the late nineties, and his pioneering approach to producing music has been executed with maturity and finesse since day one.
His bubbling talent first emergef with his legendary Trash parties at long lost clubbing mecca The End on Monday nights, before Erol Alkan soon became a resident for one of the biggest British clubbing institutions, Bugged Out, and he still holds the same close relationship with them to this day.
Renowned for his reworks, Alkan has the ability to leave his mark in the most way on the music he works on, whether it's working his magic on Justice's 'Waters Of Nazareth' (listen above) or producing and mixing the critically acclaimed album from Daniel Avery, Drone Logic. This extended set from this legend is not to be missed. Grab your tickets here.
The French Express label artist roster is massive, and the tunes that come from them are even bigger. The imprint was founded by Leon Oziel, with the dedicated aim of showcasing music from emerging artists.
French Express currently boasts the likes of Chris Malinchak and Erkka, along with some of the talent making their way to Liverpool on the 6th November including Moon Boots, Jonas Rathsman and Isaac Tichauer.
The underground disco sounds of Moon Boots and his experimental style has secured him a loyal following of jackin' fans. No stranger to grooves either is Jonas Rathsman, his almost overnight success stemmed from his genre-defying sound (check out his track 'Tobago' above) and his profound dedication.
Also joining them is Berlin-based, moody bassline creator Isaac Tichauer. Head here for tickets.
