A new year means a whole bunch of new opportunities and there are plenty of new events on Skiddle for you to get stuck into. We have a wide range of activities for you to take the whole family to in 2023 from theatre shows to food festivals and conventions. They are spread across the UK, so you could even make a long haul and go somewhere new for a proper trip away.

Where: Bowlers Exhibition Centre, Manchester
This is pretty much the ultimate event for wrestling fans apart from going to see a match. This will be the third iteration of the exhibition in Manchester which has impressively drawn in some of the sport's most iconic figures before and always has an impressive array of memorabilia.

Where: Cheam Park, Sutton
Feastyfest keeps on growing year after year and is an amazing event for foodies far and wide. Imagine a place where you can go and taste pretty much every single type of food there is to offer, as a huge range of traders set up shop and attempt to entice you in. There's even live music and a kids zone too.

Where: Zap Graffiti Arts, Liverpool
Here you get two whole hours to learn the craft of graffiti art. You will get to learn some of the basic skills and techniques of the craft. At the end of the workshop, you'll be able to take away a 3x3 poster that is all of your own making which you can hang up at home.

Where: London Palladium, London
A classic pantomime performance, for some people it is traditional to go and see Jack and the Beanstalk whenever it's on. The London Palladium's show will be running all the way until January 15th so there's still time to grab tickets for a performance. Dawn French and Julian Clary will be performing.

Disney On Ice Presents Discover The Magic
When: Thursday 2nd- Sunday 5th March 2023
Where: First Direct Arena, Leeds
Disney On Ice is coming to Leeds in 2023. It will feature many iconic characters from films such as Coco, Toy Story, Aladdin, Frozen, The Little Mermaid and more. This is an event that will enchant the kids and serves as a celebration of some of the best characters ever written.

Where: Wales Millenium Centre, Caerdydd
Strictly Come Dancing is one of the best BBC shows around and millions of people are drawn to their screens towards the end of each year to watch it. This show will feature both celebrity and professional dancers who you will have seen on the show before and it has all been choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood.

Where: The Lyceum Theatre, London
The Lion King is an iconic story that was of course a hugely successful animated film first. It has had one of the longest residencies on the West End and the cast members put their all into every performance. The classic songs you know and love are played loudly and proudly here.

Highest Point Presents Big Family Day Out
Where: Williamson Park, Lancaster
One of the biggest family celebrations of the year, Williamson Park hosts the Big Family Day Out as part of Highest Point festival. A day full of colour and a seemingly endless amount of activities for the kids to do, it is the type of environment that promotes creativity and learning.
