It’s almost time to hold our glasses high and plant sloppy ones on the ones we love when we’ve finished counting down to midnight. Of course, there are loads of club nights, raves, and just about every nightclub and bar will open its doors to us all this NYE.
But we aren’t all fans of loud, bumping tunes and staying up until 7 am. Some of us just want some killer live music to enjoy. And as always, Skiddle is here to help you find the perfect event, so you can start the new year as you wish to go on: having a cracking time out with those you love.

Hogmanay Ceilidh Dance + Mad Ferret Hogmanay Hoolie

Stramash in Edinburgh is throwing a huge Hogmanay bash like no other. From the moment you step foot in the venue, your New Year’s Eve adventures begin with a glass of prosecco upon arrival. Then, you’ll be taught how to Ceilidh dance before The Jig Show take to the stage with their rockin’ blend of traditional and contemporary folk music. Later on, The Mad Ferret Band, popular in the Scottish music scene, will take to the mic for more lively, alcohol-infused tunes.

Since 2002, Guns 2 Roses have been tearing up venues with powerful vocal shrieks and delicious guitar solos. The most famous GNR tribute in the world, the band have been approved by both the original and current Guns and Roses band members. The tribute band have wowed thousands across the UK, Europe, USE, Japan, India, and the Middle East, delivering everyone's favourite classic rock jams. And for NYE, they're coming to London.

Wow 80's - 80's Tribute New Years Eve Party

Where: Bier Keller in Bracknell
Whether you were there to experience the musical gems the 80s pumped out or if you just wished you were there, this 80s night promises all the bangers from yesteryear live. Expect tunes from the likes of David Bowie, Queen, Lionel Richie, Duran Duran, Phil Colling, Wet Wet Wet, Go West, Madness, and more. The band have been touring Europe for many years in a few of the UK’s leading tribute acts. So believe us when we tell you you’re in safe hands!

Acoustic Odds have been blowing audiences across the UK away with renditions of dance anthems spanning the past three decades. After two of their videos went viral, the duo released their debut album, reaching number eight in the iTunes album chart, all without any help from the industry. Now, the duo will return to Widnes for a homecoming gig to wave goodbye to 2022. And they’re inviting you to join them for tunes, dancing, and a few cheeky bevs.

Who doesn’t love a bit of George Michael and Wham!? Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go and Careless Whisper are certified bangers. If you fancy a bit of that this New Year’s Eve, check out award-winning tribute act Robert Taylor, winner of (and thrice nominated) the UK's official number one George Michael tribute award. And in between Wham! and George Michael tunes, a DJ will take over to ensure you always have tunes to dance to.

Two-tone and ska band, Bad Manners, will be tearing up OGV Podium in Aberdeen this new years eve with electric tunes brought to life by the band and their wild antics. Back in the day, the frontman got the band banned from Top of the Pops, so expect at least some degree of mischief as they power through a set of tunes inspired by the late-70s ska revival sound.
