Skiddle discovers the whereabouts of the intimate Cadenza Vagabundos afterparty, and dances all morning in the sunshine at Ushuaia.

If you're not already aware, Luciano throws his Cadenza Vagabundos party every Sunday at Pacha, as well as a Thursday night weekly residency at Ushuaia. It is through these affiliations that gives Luciano the opportunity to throw some of the best parties around. I haven't been to either of these Vagabundos nights yet, but what we did discover last Sunday is that he was planning to throw Sunday night's afterparty at the glorious Ushuaia the following Monday morning, and if you got there at the right time, you could bag yourself a free wristband.
So we partied a bit on Sunday night in San Antonio until it got to the right time; and at 7:30am we hopped on a bus over from San Antonio to Playa den Bossa. And, as sure as the sun rise, they were handing out the free wristbands at the entrance.
We got straight in, and the event was amazing from start to finish. The outside courtyard of the hotel-club is glistening white everywhere, with a huge pool in the middle. The usual stage wasn't in use, but at the other side the large bar was wide open next to a mini platform area that had been transformed into a DJ booth, where the Cadenza crew were chilling, partying and playing.
Luciano was chilling with his pink highlights whilst Andrea Oliva and Reboot were playing back to back to an intimate crowd of no more than 200 people dancing across platforms amongst palm trees and colourful statues of hippos, frogs and an array of other funky little animals. The sound system was amazing; those of you that are staying at Ushuaia should prepare for things to be no holds barred at party times. Residents of the hotel were stirring and taking up position on their balconies to watch the festivities and have their own little dances from their party. Here's a video filmed by one such resident:
The two Cadenza stars set about spinning a set full of sexy latin flavours including classics such as Jaydee's 'Plastic Dreams', with the crowd all reaching for the rays of sunshine bursting down onto the dance area, and the funky vocal-laden 'Freaky Mother Fuckers'. The tunes kept on coming, other highlights including Oliva's 'Same Old Sheep' and an acid remix of another classic 'Music Is The Answer'. It was too good to say the least!
After a while Reboot swapped over with Mirko Loko who went at it back to back with Oliva, who stayed on, turning up the pace with a more melodic approach - the two churning out Cadenza style versions of Beanfield's 'Tides' and Blaze's 'Lovelee Dae'. And a lovely day it was. The atmosphere, the DJs, the party heads and the sun kept us all going strong and we could have stayed all day without hindrance, but unfortunately the clock struck midday and we all had to head back to San Antonio to go to work. It was a shame because apparently the party was due to continue until 2pm. Nevertheless, it was safe to say we left with smiles plastered wide on our faces.
The after parties aren't exactly announced to the masses – so on your Sunday in Ibiza listen out for any news on these Cadenza parties. I have been to most of the clubs this year now and this was by far the most enjoyable experience I've had. Ask about at ticket shops and see what you can find out, as they are definitely not to be missed.
