Liverpool's Constellations has announced a live series of events in collaboration with local stalwarts Melodic Distraction. They'll be inviting internationally-acclaimed artists to perform in their unique venue to host a party until the early hours of the morning. March sees Berlin producer Max Graef with his band Torben Unit for their Liverpool Debut while April brings neo-soul pioneer Fatima to the city with the Eglo Live Band for the first Constellations Garden Party of 2017.
Torben Unit's contemporary take on funk is entirely unique, creating dancefloor-ready music with funky melodies and rhythm like no other. With two album releases creating a stir, Max Graef was a guest at Melodic Distractions 1st birthday celebrations, he's now been invited back with the accompaniment of his fantastic team of musicians to create some dance-worthy soul.
Swedish star Fatima has not only collaborated with outstanding renowned artists such as Jamie Cullum and Dam Funk, she's also worked with producers Floating Points and Funkineven. Fatima is the queen of contemporary soul as she's released music with none other than Eglo Records and was given the crown for Album of the Year in 2015 at the Giles Peterson Worldwide Awards for Yellow Memories. Support comes from Madnice Selectors.
