Building on its successes with the likes of Kiwi and Erol Alkan in previous weeks, Contradisco shoots an emerging power into the fold when A1 Bassline hits the controls at Department of Liquor and Social Affairs on Saturday 30th August.
What started out as picking up drum and bass, garage and grime records at legendary London record hotspots Big Apple, whilst growing up in Croydon, has transpired into signing on at label giants Dirtybird and Pets Recordings for the Essex born DJ, who also forms one part of Laszlo Dancehall.
And it's easy to see why, the savvy Croydon based producer curated a sound from the deeper depths of house music that's gaining recognition from all the right places.
His latest EP on Pets' sister label Step - 20 Salmon Down (above) features rugged, no nonsense beats and intriguing synth washes that posses the raw edge to be thrown straight into the deep end of underground politics. Grab your tickets here.
