New home, same chaos!
Crapfest is setting sail across the River Mersey and setting up home at Birkenhead’s finest, and thriving Future Yard, on Saturday, 20th July, 2024.
The event is an annual all-day festival that celebrates the wonderful DIY punk scene, the amazing artists, and the people that support it. It’s hosted by Wirral junk punk trio Crapsons who finally bring the festivities to their hometown.
Crapfest has sold out for three consecutive years and most recently was nominated and shortlisted for three awards at the UK Festival Awards.
This year, there will be two stages catering to punk rock with ZERO CLASHES, with a new added area which will give punters a break from the madness will come in the shape of our live podcasting and discussion room.
The main stage will alternate with the glorious Garden catering to the punk world and beyond. Also, for the first time ever – Crapfest will welcome all ages with under 12s able to attend completely free of charge.
Curator and Crapsons drummer claims “we are really excited to bring Crapfest to our hometown. While we are proud of the previous four years in Liverpool City Centre, this move gives us more scope to bring extra dimensions to the event, keep the event in one venue with no clashes, making it much easier for punters to see as many artists as possible”
He went on to say “Seeing such a great venue on our doorstep, growing, welcoming more and more top class artists from all over the world to our fair town is amazing. They are doing so much for our community which makes us immensely proud, and it was a no-brainer to move and be apart in some way of what is going on. We trust people will enjoy what is sure to be a great day. If the sun can stay out, that’ll be great!”
Crapfest early bird tickets sold out in a matter of hours and tickets are already being sold before the line-up was even announced.

Take a look here at the Crapfest Class of 2024:
RISKEE AND THE RIDICULE
This year’s headliners are none other than Kent grime-punks Riskee and The Ridicule. Many critiques have hailed them as the fastest-growing punk band, hailing their energising and “in your face” live shows.
They have graced the stage at numerous top festivals and this year embark on a mammoth headline UK tour, stopping off in Birkenhead along the way.
PETE BENTHAM AND THE DINNERLADIES
Kitchencore local heroes and artpunks, singing witty and quirky tales through their primitive rock n’ roll and always-entertaining live shows
PIZZATRAMP
Fast hardcore booze-fuelled punkers from Cardiff, signed to TNS records. They are in demand by every punk promoter in the UK for their mixture of chaos and comedy
PISS KITTI
They’ve been kicking and screaming their way on to the Merseyside music scene, enjoyed many impressive support slots, but expect even bigger things this year from Liverpool’s finest punk four-piece
DEAD RAZE
Their first ever gig was filling in at Crapfest 2022, and left it the most talked about band of the day. Raw power from this Liverpool two piece who are quickly making waves across the punk scene
X-RAY VEZ
Vez joined DIY royalty Wonk Unit back in 2018 as keyboard player and vocalist, and has since started her own solo career. Xray Vez’s fun, mischievous songs are lighthearted pop fun with a DIY punk twist
BROKEN 3 WAYS
Wirral ska rockers bring their adrenaline-fuelled anthems to Crapfest for the second year running
LEECH BLEEDERS
Birmingham scumbags with metal influenced hardcore punk
BOBBY FUNK
From the TNS Records alumni, Hastings weirdo punks Bobby Funks make their Crapfest debut. The band’s sound is a hardcore tinged punk rock assault but there is no escaping an old school punk influence to its DIY instincts and voracious attitude.
THE CAROL HODGE BAND
Seven-fingered, piano-pounding, Yorkshire-dwelling Singer-Songwriter. Think Regina Spektor meets Billy Bragg, but with fewer digits and a continuous existential crisis, sandwiched between bitter irony and relentless optimism
BLOODSLUGS
Expect heavy riffs and pounding drums from this aggressive two piece, playing handmade instruments
SID
London Hardcore fast punk rockers, who bought their ferocious debut album out earlier this year
SPAM JAVELIN
Crapfest’s favourite North Walian hardcore punk trio
THE ICONOCLASTS
Formed in Birkenhead in 1982, forty years on, the anarcho punks reunited and have picked up where they left off
CRAPSONS
Yours truly, Crapfest hosts – Their raw and energizing punk rock illuminate the defects of working class life.
