Following the awesome success of Creamfields, the Cream team return to Liverpool on Saturday 9th October to celebrate their legendary birthday at Nation. Through the highs and lows of clubland Cream have set the precedent for clubs and festivals across the world with the birthday parties in particular now being the stuff of legend!
Headlining the event is the infamous and flamboyant Mr Erick Morillo who, following a 4 year hiatus back in April rocked the foundations of the Main Room with his chunky funky house sound that is synonymously unique to him. The Cream celebrations coincides with the release of Morillo's 2nd single "What Do You Want" and "Subliminal Winter Sessions Vol. 2" mixed by the man himself. He will be joined by men of the moment the 'Shapeshifters' whose latest single 'Lola's Theme' reached No.1 in the charts. And the birthday just wouldn't be the same without Liverpool legend Steve Parry pumping out beats along with Lee Ellis & Anthony Probyn all guaranteed to let your feet do the talking!
Following the enormous success of 'Cream Classics' released back in July this year the Courtyard will be playing just that! We've put together a classic and long overdue line up that is enough to tempt even the original and first Cream clubbers out of dancefloor retirement! The original godfather of house Graeme Park returns for the first time in nearly 5 years, joining him will be Cream's very own James Barton and babycream's Andy Mc, James is now dusting off his one's & two's and putting together a rather exciting set especially for the occasion (ably assisted by Andy of course!). Joining them are former Cream residents K-Klass (Paul & Russ) who in addition to playing a DJ Set will also be joined 'Live' with 'Bobby' who will be performing 2 of the most significant tracks from Cream's history 'Rhythm Is A Mystery & Let Me Show You'! In keeping with the 'Classic' theme Shovell will be performing on Percussion! You can almost smell the memories!
The Annexe has acquired a deserved reputation as one of the coolest underground rooms in the country and who better to host it than the hugely successful 'Circus'. Headlining will be Timo Maas, the self styled purveyor of 'percussive wet funk', its been a while since he's played Cream and indeed Liverpool, so we expect his fans out in full force, joining him will be the lovely Yousef, now one of the UK's finest and most in demand house DJ's, he will be joined by Circus resident Lewis Boardman.
Expect the usual lunatic shenanigans that goes on at these birthdays whether it be crowd surfing from the DJ box or a random thank you speech at the end of the night - it's the birthday after all - there are no rules!
This event is in association with M8 Magazine and Radio City. An exclusive set recorded from the birthday will be broadcast in 'Afterhours' on Radio City on the 17th October.
As always the birthday is expected to sell out. To avoid disappointment please purchase advance tickets which are on sale now!
