It’s almost here. Thursday 13th June marks the point where once again, one of the most iconic clubbing brands in the history of music settles down for a stint at the clubbing capital of the planet, Ibiza. Cream has been coming to the White Isle since 1994 and took residency in Amnesia two years later, where it has held the Thursday night spot with gusto ever since.
The opening party indicates what is to come, with the trance, house and techno of the main room helmed by the two Pauls who have defined the euphoric sound of the club since the mid-nineties, Paul van Dyk and our recent artist of the week selection, Paul Oakenfold. They’ll be joined by John O’Callaghan and Adam Sheridan who will be delivering those much needed hands in the air moments as Amnesia’s piercing lasers and ice cannons wreak havoc.
Things don’t let up on the Terrace as Laidback Luke once again returns to hold court as resident. His signature style of fast and furious house and electro has made him one of the most in-demand Djs on the planet, and no truer a environ has he better showcased this and for Cream on the infamous amnesia terrace. He’ll be joined by fellow Dutch destroyer Hardwell, whose latest dancefloor collaboration with Dyro ‘Never Say Goodbye’ has been omnipresent already this year.
As ever with Cream the experience goes way beyond the DJs, with them making an emphatic use of the club’s stunning setting with a heavy focus on high quality production. The season ahead has a litany of star names as well, Above and Beyond, Calvin Harris, Eddie Halliwell, Nicky Romero and Steve Angello among them.
Cream also announced details of their involvement in BBC Radio One’s Weekend in Ibiza, which you can read more info on here.
