Legendary Liverpudlian party Cream only does a handful of parties in its original home of Nation each year, but when they do they are absolute humdingers. Cramming the glitterati of the electronic music's most immediate superstars into their three iconic rooms, this particular event showcases the Cream trademark sound of euphoric house, spine tingling trance, gut shaking electro and much, much more.
The Main Room reverberates to the show stopping prowess of Dutch party igniters Showtek, the men behind two of the biggest recent clubland smashes in 'How We do' and the reggae fused synth stomper 'Booyah' (watch above). The crowd rocking pair make their Cream debut, and as anyone who has witnessed their hedonistic histrionics at stellar soirees such as Tomorrowland, Ultra Festival and Electric Daisy Carnival will testify, it's bound to be a brilliantly memorable performance.
Backing them up in the room will be Sander Van Doorn (check out his previous guest mix for the Weekends Matter podcast), alongside Swedish house maestro AN21 and another deadly Dutch duo Firebeatz, whilst Cream resident Gareth Wyn will also bring his immeasurable groove prowess to the fore.
The Courtyard again boasts an ensemble of fist pumping electronic superstars. Tragedy befell the Bingo Players last year when one half of the group, Paul Baumer, passed away. At Baumer's behest the Bingo Players name lives on and their musical legacy continues, and as the appearance at the top of the bill in the Courtyard of the name Bingo Players proves, it's a history well worth celebrating (as evidenced by their smash 'Rattle', voiced by K-Pop group Far East Movement, below).
Joining the Bingo Players will be Tommy Trash, a man who has reworked the likes of Zedd, Empire Of The Sun and Steve Aoki to devastating effect in recent times. London bred Mat Zo also stars, as does the man behind the hunt for 'Molly' Cedric Gervais, with Anthony Probyn repping for the Cream residents.
The Annexe will be the scene of a trance masterclass, the room instrumental in the genre's history in the UK dating back to when Paul Oakenfold started his Cream residency in the mid nineties stationed there. Euphoric breakdowns and pulsating grooves will come courtesy of Andrew Yayel, Solarstone, Sneijder and special guest Lange, with Cream's resident trance leviathan Rob Harnetty.
