Creamfields South to debut the iconic Arc Stage in 2023
The focal point of Creamfields North, the mammoth Arc Stage will make the long trip down to Chelmsford in time for the second edition of Creamfields South this May
Date published: 19th Jan 2023
The countdown to the highly anticipated second instalment of Creamfields South is on, with little over 4 months to go before some of the world's biggest dance acts touch down in Chelmsford for a weekend of mayhem this May. And to create more hype around what's set to be an even bigger occasion than last year's debut, the Creamfields team have recently announced that one of its most iconic Northern stages will also touch down in the south this summer, for its first-ever appearance at the newly launched sister event. The legendary Arc stage.
Lauded as one of the largest outdoor stages in the world, at over 100 metres wide and 15 metres tall, the Arc is a monolithic and imposing curved structure. It’s played host to scores of influential electronic acts through the years and now it’s set to make the journey to Hylands Park in Chelmsford to make its inaugural appearance at Creamfields South over the late May Bank Holiday.
Headlining the Arc stage are previously announced headliners Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto and Becky Hill with plenty more names yet to be announced. Combine these top-tier acts with stunning visual displays and a world-leading sound system, and it becomes clear that the Arc stage will be one of the must-see spectacles of the 2023 festival season.
Festival revellers will also benefit from an extra day of live performances at Creamfields South 2023, now running from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th May, with live sets coming courtesy of other recently confirmed names including Camelphat, Carl Cox (Hybrid Live), Chase & Status (DJ Set), Example, Fatboy Slim, Gorgon City, Nina Kraviz, Patrick Topping and Sonny Fodera.
The next wave of artist announcements is set to be announced to the public on Thursday 26th January. Watch this space.
