Skiddle were the sponsors behind the Best Major Festival and Best New Festival categories at the ceremony in London which was hosted by Mary Anne Hobbs.

Creamfields scooped the award for the Best Major Festival at the UK Festival awards during a glitzy ceremony at the Roundhouse in London on 28th November.
The August bank holiday weekender in Cheshire once again boasted an enormous line up this year with the likes of Armin van Buuren, Jamie Jones, High Contrast, Four Tet and tonnes more all featuring. Let's not forget about the Steel Yard stage either. The massive arena shot production values through the roof and made for an unparalleled raving experience.
Download Festival picked up the Most Hospitable Festival award, one of the reasons it's the only UK date in Aerosmith's European farewell tour, whilst We Are FSTVL won the Best Dance Event category and have already announced that the likes of Hannah Wants, Carl Cox and Armand Van Helden will all play at their 2017 event.
There was plenty of scouse celebrations as Liverpool Sound City bagged the award for The Best Festival for emerging talent, Liverpool Music Week took the prize for Best Metropolitan Festival award and Positive Vibration - festival of Reggae gained the the majority of the public vote for the Best New Festival.
Arguably the most coveted award, for Best Toilets, went to Latitude and there was a victory for Dick Tee as he picked up the Outstanding Contribution To Festivals award (follow the link to read more about his work).
