2014 has already thrown up a few future stars, and one undoubtedly is Cristoph. We were lucky enough to get a mix off him earlier in the year, and his slew of tracks on labels such as Underground Audio and Rennbahn as caught the ear of Pete Tong, who picked up on the DJ on his feted 'Future Star' segment of his BBC Radio One show.
The next big news for the DJ is that he'll be mixing the first ever installment of the DFTD mix compilation, the underground house leg of imperious record label Defected. With two mkiller EPs already under his arm for the imprint (stream the 'Right Now' EP above) he's a perfect choice, with the digital release due on the label on Sunday May 4th.
DFTD VLM01 epitomises the label’s resume, which rests on discovering and promoting fresh talent such as Cristoph. It features music from Andrea Oliva, Aaaron, Forrest, Kiani & His Legion, Man Without A Clue and more, complete with seven brand new and exclusive records.

Cristoph joins Hot Creations Demarzo on Thursday 17th April to play the Frank Easter Special, taking in place in Manchester venue Underdog. He'll be no doubt dropping a slew of deep house bombs evident of the compilation and the Skiddle mix he did, which you can stream above. Head here for tickets.
