Following their glorious resurgence of late, legendary UK funk band Cymande have now revealed they'll be releasing a new album, their first in over four decades.
Initially growing to widespread notoriety though the success of The Message in 1971 (listen to the title track above), Cymande dropped off the radar until they were re-discoverd by a legion of hip hop producers who sampled their work extensively, most notably Gang Starr, Wu-Tang Clan and Fugees. Most of the original Cymande line up band reformed and started recording again in 2011 and have since toured the UK.
