DJ EZ's newly conceptualised and already significant imprint, NUVOLVE has recently welcomed Argentinian producer Sampladelic and Kiwi Records affiliate The Phat Controlla, issuing the pairs punchy new club banger - 'Speed It Up'.
Established by the UKG giant and his long-term manager Paul Marini towards the back end of 2020, NUVOLVE has already delivered a handful of well-received singles and EP's from some of the most respected names in urban music.
Encompassing DJ EZ's love for all forms of electronic dance - from garage to house, drum n bass and everything in between - the label kicked off its existence by releasing no fewer than six singles from a host of diverse garage legends - amongst them the likes of trend-setting garage pioneer - Todd 'The God' Edwards, Manchester favourites Sweet Female Attitude, Club Asylum, BBC Radio 1 resident Fabian Dubz, and up-and-coming future stars SHOSH and MPH.
The brand new collaborative single, which sees the two electronic producers linking up for the very first time, marks the start of a steady flow of upfront garage and bass music to come from the nascent label. A high-energy 2-stepper, ‘Speed It Up!’ juxtaposes low-slung bass with choppy, high-pitched piano samples, smooth seductive vocals and the shuffled breakbeat rhythms and syncopated hi-hats customary with the popular genre.
It sees NUVOLVE continue their recent run of releasing top-drawer fresh club heat, with the likes of Smokey Bubblin’ B, Smasher and Tuff Culture all dropping records on the fledgling imprint recently.
