Kick off your festive season on 5th December by celebrating all that's new and good in music at The Secret Christmas Party, headlined by Daley.
The Mancunian singer, songwriter and all round musical don will be bringing his signature sounds (and signature quiff) to Shoreditch's 93 Feet East on December 5th, where he'll be topping a bill featuring some of the hottest tipped artists of today, who are sure to be the stars of tomorrow.
The self taught musician Daley began to make a name for himself on the live scene last year when he took his chances on a move to London, and began performing in clubs. His talents didn't remain secret for long, and 1Xtra's Mistajam and Ras Kwame soon got hold of a copy of Daley's single 'Rainy Day', which they promptly put on heavy rotation.
After seeing his performance of Maxwell's 'Pretty Wings' on Youtube, Damon Albarn asked Daley to feature on Gorillaz single 'Doncomatic' - garnering even more recognition for the young artist. Daley has since gone on to work with Estelle, David Banner and Wretch 32. He is currently working on his debut album which features production from Dre of Dre and Vidal, Bernard Butler and Shea Taylor.
Daley’s mixtape ‘Those Who Wait’ was released earlier this year to rave reviews and hopefully we won’t be made to wait too long for more from one of the stand out voices of recent years.
Funk-rockers The Thirst are known by many as one of the best live acts in London right now having already toured with Pete Doherty, The Rolling Stones, The Sex Pistols, opened up for The Libertines and shared stages with grime stalwarts like Kano and Wiley. Following their EP release on 21 November their electric vibes and massive energy will definitely have the party in full swing!
Next up is Gypsy Hill native Aaron Delahunty. Aaron has already had huge support from the BBC Introducing team, playing their stage at this year’s Radio 1 Big Weekend, recording a BBC Maida Vale session and securing the coveted BBC Introducing slot on the Radio 1 playlist. With his debut single ‘Never Happen Again’ released 21 November, the new kid on the block is looking to make a big impact before the year is out!
Kicking off proceedings will be High Heels and Low Lifes, an exciting duo of an “Essex girl and an urban geezer”, bringing the heat to start the party.
