Damnation Festival, the UK's premium Metal festival, is here, with moshing kicking firmly off tomorrow. As a thank you to fans' support this year, Festival runner Gavin McInally has today announced that all ticket holders for the festival's Friday night, A Night of Salvation, can bring a friend in with them for free!
The Night of Salvation sees a range of metal bands bring their classic albums to the stage for full playthroughs, giving longtime fans and eager headbangers a serious treat for the earplugged ears.
This year sees bands such as Decapitated performing The Negation with original frontman Sauron helping out on vocal duties, a one-time-only show; The Ocean performing Pelagial for the final time with their current lineup; Employed To Serve playing through their incredible Conquering record for the first and only time; Discharge celebrating Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing, exclusively in Manchester; and many many more.
Tickets for Damnations Night of Salvation are still live with the last few remaining, so why not grab a mate, split the cost of a ticket, and head down to see some head-rumbling metal excellence?
On the above, Damnations Gavin McInally said: "We're being soft and sentimental as a packed Damnation is upon us and we want to say thank you.
"We weren't too proud to admit 2023 was a rough year financially and without your support this year, we might have had to face the fact that perhaps Damnation isn't supposed to exist in an arena.
"Instead, 1,300 of you bought tickets blind on day one, and thousands followed suit and even though we're just short of a sell out, we can look forward to our HUGE 20th anniversary next year on the back of a successful Damnation this Saturday.
"And as a thanks for that support, we want to offer everyone who has bought A Night of Salvation ticket (yes, including add ons and combos) the chance to bring a friend this Friday for FREE.
"Give someone you know, who might need a small win or not be in a position to afford it, a call tonight and tell them to dig out their dancing shoes because they are going for a mosh.
"There's no catch to this, nothing to sign up to, no booking fee to pay etc. A ticket will land in your inbox by tonight.
"We realise that this doesn't help anyone coming to Damnation only, but we've no capacity to offer this at Damnation, and it's sadly never possible to please everyone all of the time.
"We cannot wait to see you all on Friday, it's going to be a belter of a weekend."
