Damon Albarn has confirmed he'll start work on a new Gorillaz album in September.
On the verge of his upcoming Australian tour with Blur, Albarn told Australian outlet 7.30, "I'm starting recording in September for a new Gorillaz record."
He continues, "I'd love to just get back in to that routine of being at home and coming to the studio five days a week."
Earlier this year animator Jamie Hewlett, the other member of Gorillaz, hinted at a return via instagram and it appears that Murdoc and co are back via a recent post below.
Damon Albarn's most recent work came with Blur when they released The Magic Whip this year, he was also carried off stage by security at a festival in Denmark when he refused to end a five hour set.
