As one of the most exciting, unusual, eclectic family friendly festivals on the calendar, Wickerman has unsurprisingly been a favourite of ours for some time. Its cross section of headliners from the past and present make it a festival out there on its own, attracting a fun loving, up for it, but at the same time chilled crowd that's unlike anything we've experienced elsewhere.
One of the reasons we've fallen so head over heels with it is our continued presence, so following on from announcement that the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, The Feeling and Big Country would be among this year's live acts taking to the Summerisle stage, ourselves and the Wickerman can now release the names of those that will be hitting up the festival's dance village.
Heading up the dance music assault and headlining our Skiddle Tent, will be the rich and varied sounds of Riva Starr (check out his Mysteryland set above), who will be called back to after an extraordinary performance in the same arena back in 2011.
His most recent work with Fatboy Slim - the ubiquitous 'Eat Sleep Rave Repeat' - established itself as one of the biggest dance tunes of last year, hitting number three in the UK singles chart after being pounced upon by the EDM massive.
Equally as eclectic and yet as fiercely dance floor oriented - the sublime, punk-fueled, disco infused soul of Alex Metric will join Riva Starr as another must see dance headliner. Check out his phat as hell mix above to glimpse what's in store.
Slinky disco specialists Crazy P Soundsystem top Saturday's bill, with the likes of X-Press 2, Sonny Wharton and Hot Creations' PBR Streetgang joining in the final day of Wickerman dance celebrations.
Elsewhere, look out for iconic French house and electro don Ivan Smagghe, who will be hitting the Em-It tent on Friday, Back To Basics house hero Tristan Da Cunha, Kid Blast, as well as Festival residents James Ryan, Luke Stanger, Western Groove, Seelie, The Filth Wizard and Taneli. Head here to check out the rest of the dance line up. Grab your Wickerman tickets here.
