It looks like we've seen the last of Bowie performing live in the flesh, according to Isle Of Wight festival boss.

It looks likes David Bowie has called it a day on taking to the live stage with Isle Of Wight Festival boss John Giddings declaring he has "decided to retire".
It's been eleven years since Bowie last performed on a major stage, which was for Giddings at Isle Of Wight 2004, before ol' Ziggy Stardust cancelled his 'Reality' tour scheduled for that year.
Recently, he commissioned the theme tune for new TV show 'The Last Panthers', suggesting he's already taken a back seat from enamouring live crowds with his war chest of big hitters. (watch the trailer below).
In the interview with Music Week, Giddings said, "every time I see him now, before I even speak to him, he goes 'I'm not touring' and I say, 'I'm not asking'".
He added, "He has decided to retire, and, like Phil Collins, you can't demand these people go out there again and again".
It comes as bad news for Bowie fans clinging on to the hope of the Thin White Duke performing for one last time, although it remains to be seen if he's just calling our bluff. We certainly hope so, but it's certainly been some time since we seen the pop icon in the flesh.
