Day Zero: Crosstown Rebels curate end-of-the-world festival in Mexico

Crosstown Rebels presents DAY ZERO festival; 24 hours of music, arts, and installations amongst the Mayan Temples of Mexico.

Date published: 2nd Nov 2012

Taking place from the 20-21 December 2012, in line with the end of the Mayan Calendar and the supposed end of the world, Day Zero brings an enviable line-up of electronic talent together for the party to end all parties, in one of the world's most stunning settings.

Taking place by a Mayan pyramid in Playa Del Carmen, Day Zero will bring together party people for 24 hours, ending at the exact moment the Mayans decreed as the end of this world cycle.

The festival offers a forward thinking line up of house and techno acts including Damian Lazarus, Fur Coat, Infinity Ink, Art Department, Subb-An and many more besides. Away from the music, festival goers can enjoy dance-performances, Shamanic rituals, discussion, yoga, relaxation and spiritual awareness classes.

The full line-up is as follows...
Crosstown Rebels, 3D (Massive Attack) vs James Lavelle (UNKLE), Acid Pauli, Amirali (live), Art Department, Damian Lazarus, Francesca Lombardo, Fur Coat, Infinity Ink (live), Jamie Jones, Maayan Nidam, Matias Aguayo (live), Metrika, Subb-an, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (live), Thugfucker, Trentemøller.

Sounds impressive, no?
