Days Out With Skiddle returns with brunch events, theatre performances and plenty of comedy to keep you entertained.

This week on Days Out With Skiddle plenty of comedy is on offer with the Southport Comedy Festival taking place in October. The annual event invites down the most recognisable talents from across the world down so they can strut their stuff. We also have plenty of brunch options too and even a circus event for the whole family to enjoy.

Where: Southport Comedy Festival, Victoria Park, Southport
This comedy bingo event is being put on in aid of Southport charity Queenscourt Hospice which supports people with serious illnesses. This will be a hilarious interactive event hosted by comedian Brendan Riley. This will be bingo in a much more extreme way than you've ever experienced it before.

Where: Southport Comedy Festival, Victoria Park, Southport
Reginald D Hunter is a well-respected comedian and has been honing his craft for years. You will most likely have seen him on some of the regular panel shows on channels such as BBC1, ITV and Channel 4. He'll be performing a set at Southport Comedy Festival this year that will surely have a full crowd.

Christmas Cracker- Soul & Motown Bottomless Brunch
When: Saturday 17th December
Where: BALLIN' Maidstone, Maidstone
If you're already wanting to fill your December with as many events as possible, why not come down to this brunch event in Maidstone? A special guest DJ will be on hand to spin feel-good tunes from the realms of Soul and Motown so expect tunes from the likes of Marvin Gaye, Lionel Ritchie, Stevie Wonder and many more.

Where: Kala Red, Maidstone
A seven-hour Afrobrunch event in Maidstone, with your entry ticket you'll get access to unlimited fried rice, chicken, skewers and much more on the menu. Two free drinks will be available too and a whole range of genres will be blared out to get you up on your feet from RnB to Afrobeats and Reggae.

Oliver award winner Juliet Stevenson is highly praised for her performances in The Doctor with a run starting in September that will last up until December. Playing on our currently divided society, the play has a huge focus on identity and has been praised for its absolutely devastating nature.

Big Kid Circus are touring the UK this year with their latest show titled Mayhem. They'll be coming to Braehead and this isn't your ordinary circus performance. This is the circus for all ages, as you watch death-defying stunts be performed that will have your eyes glued on the action.

Afro Brunch: Sheffield Community, Culture & Afro Music History
When: Friday 9th September
Where: The Harley, Sheffield
Another Afrobrunch event, this time we're heading to Sheffield where a selection of DJs will be taking it in turns to spin their favourite tunes. It'll all culminate in an EP launch from Fungi but before that, feel free to enjoy as much food and drink as you can handle before you step out to dance.
