Days Out With Skiddle has a wide range of events and attractions on offer this week. There are some events that will get you in the mood for the festive period, with a couple of them being the perfect places for you to take the kids to. There are also theatre performances and live comedy from a familiar face if you watch a lot of panel shows.

 

St Columbs Magic Kingdom

When: Sunday 4th December

Where: St Columbs Park, Londonderry

This sounds like the perfect place to make some memories this Christmas. At the Magic Kingdom, you'll find a light trail and you'll be able to take in all the beauty of the surrounding St Columbs Park. There will also be some live animations and local food and craft traders too.

Romeo and Juliet- A Christmas Party

When: Friday 16th December

Where: Propyard, Bristol

This party at Propyard in Bristol aims to bring the extravagance of Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet to life. The venue will be transformed and split into the Montague residence and the house and the house of Capulet. There will be a DJ, food and a ball to make you feel like the movie has come to life.

Poor Boys Winter Village

When: Saturday 10th December

Where: The Barn KT9, Chessington

This will be a festive event for you to remember. You'll find this winter village located in the Surrey countryside and there will be a live DJ, amazing street food provided by Poor Boys and plenty of games to be played. You can indulge in hot dog eating competitions, musical hay bales, pass the parcel and much more.

The Smartest Giant In Town

When: Wednesday 30th November- Sunday 1st January

Where: St Martin's Theatre, London

This story is based on the book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. It follows a heart-warming tale about friendship and helping people in need and it's the perfect theatre show to take the kids to. A musical filled with quirky puppets, you'll soon find it hard not to sing along.

Aladdin

When: Thursday 15th December

Where: The Empty Space, Media City, Salford

Aladdin is a classic Disney film and you can see it adapted into a theatre show in Salford this December. A family theatre experience full of glitter and sass, these performances will definitely have you laughing. This pantomime performance will definitely have some audience interactions too so get ready to be picked on.

A Celtic State Of Mind Live

When: Friday 24th February 2023

Where: Graces Irish Sports Bar, Glasgow

A Celtic State Of Mind follows all things to do with the football club. Whether it be discussion based around the club's current form or the history and Celtic's iconic moments. The show will be appearing live in Glasgow and its a chance to see all things Celtic discussed in person.

David O'Doherty

When: Saturday 4th March 2023

Where: The Leadmill, Sheffield

David O'Doherty should be a familiar face if you're a fan of panel shows. He has made appearances on shows such as 8 out of 10 Cats Do Countdown. He'll be bringing his stand-up show to The Leadmill next year, expect him to bring out his keyboard to deliver some deeply funny songs.
