This week on Days Out With Skiddle we have comedy on our minds. What better way could there be to kick off a new year than to secure yourself tickets to one of your favourite comedians on tour? Recently appearing on the Big Fat Quiz of the Year on Channel 4, Maisie Adam has been a TV screen regular now for years. making full use of her Northern roots, she always approaches things from a distinctively Yorkshire perspective. One of the most interesting and observant comedians around at the moment, her shows are always brilliant.

Triple Header Special With John May
When: Saturday 14th January
Where: Laffin Lounge, Liverpool
The resident compere of Liverpool's Laffin Lounge, John May will be taking to the stage at this event and he'll be joined by three special guest comedians. Sean Percival, Simon Wozniak and Tony Burgess will all be having a go at making sure that you are hanging off their every word.

Zoe Lyons is a recognisable face if you've watched any comedy panel show over the last few years. Her latest tour will see her coming over to Carlisle and it will partly focus on the constant endeavours of being middle-aged, including having her hair fall out. She's a truly unique character.
Highest Point Presents Big Family Day Out
When: Sunday 14th May
Where: Williamson Park, Lancaster
The Big Family Day Out is the annual celebration that closes Highest Point Festival in Lancaster. It's a day of funfair and games that will keep your young ones entertained for hours. A wide raft of colour will be marching through Williamson Park and in the May sun you can't really go wrong.

Where: ExCel, London
40 of the very best tattoo artists can all be found in the same place in August as the Big London Tattoo Show is in full swing. Across the entire weekend, there will be free fairground rides, art galleries and plenty of entertainment. Most importantly, you'll see some of the best body art around, which will definitely inspire you.

Where: The TGS Pilot Field, Hastings
Hastings United will be playing this weekend and it's all to play for as they are only a few points away from the top of the table despite being 9th in an incredibly tight league. The top of the table are visiting, so this could be one of the most important games of the season.

Where: Shaftesbury Theatre, London
Having had rave reviews in Manchester, the Mrs. Doubtfire musical will be making its way over to the West End in 2023. The story follows Daniel who, in order to keep in touch with his kids, disguises himself as their nanny to spend more time with them. Based on the classic films, it is just as funny as the source material.

Tony Law- A Now Begin In Again
When: Friday 20th January
Where: The Cumberland Arms, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Tony Law has had a critically-acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which couldn't be higher praise of his comedy show. He'll be appearing in Newcastle this year and he's a master of absurdity.So, if you're not one for they typical stand up show then Tony could be the man for you.
