New Year's Eve in Sheffield heralds in one of the hottest line ups anywhere in the country, courtesy of Detonate. Upping sticks from its usual home in Nottingham to Sheffield's O2 Academy for a one off spectacular, Detonate prepares to bring in the new year with some of the biggest stars of bass leading proceedings.
Disclosure in the Mixmag DJ Lab
Undoubtedly the biggest double team of bass music in the past 12 months, Disclosure top Detonate's Detour special. On the back of an insanely successful year that saw them win best producers at the Bass Music Awards and a nomination for the Mercury Prize, they also managed to put in inimitable performances everywhere from Glastonbury to GlobalGathering as well as Leeds and Reading (where they have been announced for next year's festival already). They arrive at Sheffield's O2 Academy for an exclusive DJ set that will be a powerhouse through the far reaches of their influences, with maximum dance floor effectiveness.
Joining them will be the undisputed don of UK garage, DJ EZ. As one of the countries most talented DJs, DJ EZ has for years now been at the top of his field. His unmatched skill of selection, technological prowess, and ability to work an audience with his choice of old skool and cutting edge new cuts is simply breathtaking. Check out his recent appearance in the mixmag DJ lab to see what we mean below.

The crowned queen of bass music, Hannah Wants gets in on the action too, as does Huxley, Phaeleh, Spectrasoul and old skool drum 'n' bass master Kenny Ken. With this line up and Detonate's proven track record, fans of bass music are in for a remarkable end of year session.
