With DJ support from the likes of Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, David Guetta, Steve Angello, Kim Fai, Andi Durrant, Dave Spoon, Robbie Rivera and many more, Dirty Secretz is no longer the secret he once was. His meteoric rise to fame has seen release after release hit the front of DJs CD cases, making his tracks an essential choice for rocking any dance floor. Richie’s first big break came in the form of Dennis Christopher’s – Set It Off (Dirty Secretz Mix) which was instantly signed to Spinnin Records, alongside Ian Carey. Later that year Richie went on to release a further 14 tracks, all of which we signed, hitting various labels such as Control Freq Records, Muzik-K Records, Rapid Fire Records and Airbus.
The man behind the guise, midlands-based DJ/producer Richie has spent years honing his production skills crossing many genres. He’s carved his own signature house room sound into each production, creating maximum impact on the floor. To date Richie has had a total of 284 tracks released via Beatport, all of which have paid homage to his quality production skills when in the studio. Signed to various record labels such as Hed Kandi, Stealth, Subliminal, Skint and Suka has certainly bought its fair share of exposure and most recently in the form of Choice Cuts Vol.1 which showcases Richie’s ability both in the studio and on the decks. Choice Cuts is a brand new compilation series from Whartone Records featuring a hot selection of tracks from the catalogues, handpicked and mixed up by their favourite artists… Volume 001 is compiled and mixed by Dirty Secretz. Available now from iTunes and Beatport.com.
But it isn’t just his paid production work that puts him up there with the best, Richie is known for his bootlegs and mashup’s which are freely available via his Soundcloud page (http://soundcloud.com/dirtysecretz). His latest, Russ Chimes – Turn Me Out (Dirty Secretz Bootleg) has been destroying dancefloors across the UK and has been played, and supported by the world famous Roger Sanchez on his Release Yourself radio show (playable here: http://soundcloud.com/dirtysecretz/roger-sanchez-release-1). But this isn’t the first time that Roger Sanchez has supported this midlands-based DJ, Wildchild – Renegade Master (Dirty Secretz Bootleg), Dirty Secretz - Discopolis (Original Mix), and Dirty Secretz – BETA (Original Mix) are a selection of other hard-hitting, edgy house tracks that have been supported over the years. Richie has also had the pleasure of having a special edition mixtape featured on Release Yourself radio, something not many DJ’s can have the claim to have achieved.
Over the years as a DJ and Producer Richie has had the pleasure of playing all over the world in some of the most luxurious places, alongside some of the most beautiful people: Prok & Fitch, Freemasons, K-Klass, Bloc Party, Lisa Lashes, Him_Self_Her, Danny Howard and Jordan Suckley to name but a few. Venues include: Digital (Brighton), KoKo (London), The Empire (Middlesborough), Pacha (London), Stockholm, Athens, Gibralter and many more.
As you can see, it is a true pleasure and honour to have Dirty Secretz opening our first PRISM Night which is scheduled for Friday, August 2nd, 2013. Doors open at 21:00PM sharp and will run right thought until 02:00AM. Other DJs on the night include local legends HOUSEJAK, Rebellion Knights, Tom Malam and Charmaine Baines (LIVE PA), better known for her hard-hitting Matrix Club Matrix band, an eclectic mix of classic 90’s anthems!
