Blackpool gets a brand new nightclub on August 16th - Domain, which gets things kicked off in magnificent style when it welcomes the presence of one of house music's must successful impresarios - Mark Kinchen, better known as MK.

After breaking into house music at the end of the eighties, the nineties saw MK in particular unleash a barrage of iconic hits, with soulful vibes and bounding bass lines colliding in magnificent fashion. Tracks like 'Burning' (above) and 'Always' earmarked a unique and overtly catchy style that would go on to highlight his importance in house music.

After a wealth of artists called him in for remix duties, MK eventually took a back seat and became producer for artists like Pitbull, Shakira and Will Smith until 2011 when he returned to writing his own records along with modern greats like Lee Foss and Omar-S.

Since 2012, MK has once again become house music's leading force, very much in charge of the modern house sound that pays homage his forward thinking productions from yesteryear, re-imagining it with a fresh, bright new sheen that has become the template for a legion of like minded producers.
