In a US interview, Ice Cube revealed an album recorded by Dr. Dre will drop on August 1st.

The record, intended to soundtrack the forthcoming N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, will feature input from both Kendrick Lamar and Eminem according to the film's director.

It's expected that Dre will announce the album release on his pharmacy Beats 1 radio show on Apple Music. In an interview (above) Ice Cube said, "It's mega, it's Dr. Dre, it's what everybody [has] been waiting for and you know it's definitely a dope record."

Rumours circling the August 15th biopic release suggest that N.W.A are set to reform for promotional purposes, although that idea has been shunned by Dre and Eminem who would replace the late Eazy-E. Fans of the seminal group shouldn't be too downhearted though as Ice Cube stated, "It's definitely, definitely possible".
