It's that time of the year where bands begin to lace their inventories with a new album to pull from ahead of a marathon festival season. Marple based ensemble Dutch Uncles have done just that, whilst also announcing they'll be heading off on a UK tour.
They get things up and running with a selection of live gigs pinpointed around the UK, including a stop off at Manchester's The Ritz on Friday 27th March. They then get to grips with a number of festival dates, with a slot at Kendal Calling beginning Thursday 30th July fully outlining their on stage credentials.
Building a bridge between indie, pop and electro, the multi talented quintet have taken on a slightly new direction, representing a more polished output in comparison to their earlier math rock escapades.
Their latest album 'O Shudder' moves slightly away from their left of field past, with the looping melody and glistening synths of 'Upsilon' (above) standing out as the albums shining moment, and most representative of the groovy eclecticism that shines through their new approach.
Tour dates below:
Manchester, The Ritz, Friday 27th March
London, KOKO, Friday 10th April
Belfast, The Limelight, Friday 24th April
Leeds, Live At Leeds 2015, Saturday 2nd May
Sheffield, Tramlines Festival, 24th July - 26th
Cumbria, Kendal Calling, 30th July - 2nd Aug
