Launching last Friday 25th November, the makers of Dalston Roof Park return this winter with East London’s first-ever night market, The Long Table.
Showcasing the finest street food and beverages around, complimented by visual and audio entertainment, The Long Table is all about creating a culture and bringing people together through the love of cuisine.
Championing the thought that “the best meals in life are who you share them with”, an actual long table will act as the heart of the gathering, bringing with it a sense of warmth and togetherness.
Organisers will also encourage guests to participate in the world’s largest online table via Twitter @TheLongTableAS and LongTable.net. Gastronomic delights will be provided by Nuno Mendes (amongst others), the man behind Bethnal Green’s Viajante providing restaurant favourites such as the Taiwanese Yum Buns with a street-food twist.
Dalston’s Turkish favourite Mangal along with Glastonbury classic Yam the Cassava, will bring the Turkish and Caribbean influences to the long table in what is set to be a scrumptious multicultural treat.
The night market will take place at a disused space on Abbot St close to Dalston Junction and Kingsland Rd, where a WW2 bunker will also host live visual art.
The Long table night-market will take place every Friday until Christmas at Abbot St, E8 3DP. Times 18:00-00:00, Free Entry.
