The world famous Electric Daisy Carnival will be descending on London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for the first time, on Saturday 20th July 2013, announcing its arrival as one of the largest and most exciting festivals in the country this year.

With astonishing production values and a lineup that will make other festivals green with envy, EDC is shaping up to be one of the highlights of the summer.

Having been previously been held exclusively in America, at venues in California, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, New Jersey, and Texas, as well as Puerto Rico, Electric Daisy Festival makes its first trip across the water to a delighted throng of electronic music lovers.

This years event has attracted a reliably stellar lineup, something which the festival has been gaining notoriety for in its American home. One such man is Dutch superstar and trance godfather Tiesto. Surely a man that needs no introduction, Tiesto is a producer and DJ that has been at the top of his game for some time now, and shows no signs of letting up. Known for his rip-roaring sets, combined with stunning visuals, Tiesto's performance at EDC is going to be something quite special.

Joining him will be Swedish phenomenon, and Grammy nominated Aviici. Now a household name, DJ magazines number 3 in the world has been thrilling audiences the world over, and his set at Electric Daisy will be no different.

Add to that impressive list the likes of Steve Angello and Alesso, and you’ve got an awesome Main Stage lineup.

The quality doesn't stop there though. The Carnival also will be hosting an additional Hard Arena, presenting a ‘heavier, electro infused dance music style’. This purpose made arena is going to host Ellie Goulding collaborator Madeon, Fake Blood, and Porter Robinson, as well as other big hitters like Crookers, Destructo, and Rusko. For those that love their dance music heavy and relentless, the Hard Arena is a tantalising prospect.

And last but by no means least, we have the Speakerbox Arena. Hosted by Radio One regular Mistajam, this will feature some of the leading exponents of UK bass music and urban culture, including veterans like Shy FX and Goldie, Caspa and DJing whizzkid Jaguar Skills, who will all be deploying their prestigious talent to keep the crowd moving throughout the day.

With organisers Insomniac being widely recognised as one of the most respected and prolific festival organizers in the world, their ability to produce the most thought out, carefully planned, and skillfully produced events consistently exceeds expectations. However, Electric Daisy Carnival is most loved for its atmosphere, with fans being encouraged to look, dress, and dance however you want to, in a non judgemental, feel good environment, that is as contagious as hell. We can hardly wait for the first British edition of the Carnival to begin.
