Escape Into The Park is the biggest event in the Welsh festival calendar, attracting over 20,000 dance music fans to Swansea’s Singleton Park. From midday to midnight a selection of DJ demi-gods from all over the world will assemble on the stunning festival site including New York’s Erick Morillo, Holland’s Armin Van Buuren as well as dance’s man of the moment Fedde le Grand who’s record ‘Put Your Hands Up For Detroit’ hit the top of the charts in November.
The 12 hour dance marathon takes place across four arenas and one main music stage, each boasting a mighty sound system. The main stage will host spectacular sets from Morillo, David Guetta, Fedde le Grand, Trophy Twins and a special live show from local mavericks Dirty Sanchez.
The Godskitchen Arena is the holy temple of non-stop trance tunage, where clubbers will congregate to show their adulation to deities such as Armin Van Buuren, Radio 1’s Judge Jules, Eddie Halliwell, Sander Van Doorn, Dave Pearce and Wales’ Big Al.
The ever-popular Tidy Boys, Lisa Lashes and Rob Tissera take it harder and faster in the Polysexual Arena returning for the second year. No dance event would be complete without a drum and bass tent and Raveology are bringing Andy C, Goldie, Fabio, Grooverider and a host of MCs for a rinsing, break-neck session.
New for 2007 is the locally hosted Lamerica Terrace where chart-topping dance duo Shapeshifters will be joined the likes of DJ Disciple, Graham Park, and local favourites CN Williams & Bern.
The VIP Arena will feature some extra special performances. Howard Marks will be doing a stand up show and Channel 4’s Kate Lawler will hit the decks along with many local favourites including Neil Navarra.
A stones throw from the M4, the festival is easily accessible by car or coach. Swansea is renowned as being one of the most picturesque and popular coastal towns in South Wales. Just an hour’s drive from Cardiff; you can even surf your way in up the Gower. Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the info/ticket hotline: 08700 424442 or by visiting the website: www.escapefestival.com The website will also provide further details and updated line up information.
