Essential Listening: House and Techno

I CAN'T LOSE YOU - Denis Sulta remix

Confidence Man’s ‘I CAN'T LOSE YOU’ is a banger. So it stands to reason that they’d come through with some remixes to keep its momentum going. Denis Sulta, KILIMANJARO, and Papa Nugs all dropped totally different remixes of the tune, but it’s Sulta’s that we’re most drawn to.

The Scottish producer’s take on the track injects lots of energy into it, making it perfect for festival and rave settings. Big, euphoric, and amazing on the ears, it’s simply a belter that won’t be leaving our regular rotation for a while.

Essential Listening: Indie and Alternative

Talkie Talkie, Charlie Charlie - Los Bitchos

The mostly instrumental pan-continental band Los Bitchos has just released their second album, Talkie Talkie. Their track ‘Talkie Talkie, Charlie Charlie’ is one of our faves, and if you like fun, summery indie, we reckon you’ll like it too.

About the track, the band said, “‘Talkie Talkie, Charlie Charlie’ feels like driving around Miami in the 80s, Grand Theft Auto style, or chatting to friends on old landlines or walkie-talkies” and we’d have to say that description feels spot on.

A bit funky, a lot 80s synth-pop, it feels exactly like a top-down drive with the sun beating down.

Indestructible - Andy C, Becky Hill

Two massive names in DnB - one known for their producing and DJ prowess and the other for their super powerful vocals - have linked up for a track that will be on repeat for many ravers for the next few months.

As expected, Andy came through with the kind of epic instrumental you’d expect for a voice like Becky’s. Dropping in with some massive basslines, it’s the kind of track that’ll have loads of music lovers covered in goosebumps.

A potential DnB classic, give this one a whirl and get familiar with it as it’s about to be played at every rave for the next year.

Murdergram Deux - LL COOL J feat. Eminem

Continuing to tease his forthcoming album THE FORCE, LL, one of the most legendary names in hip-hop, dropped his first-ever collab with Eminem on this track, ‘Murdergram Deux’.

Trading off rapid-fire raps, the two legends sound hungry over a nostalgic but hard-as-hell, bassy instrumental. Proving he still has plenty of bars and can more than handle the mic, this is the third killer track from the album so far.

THE FORCE is due for release on Friday (6th Sept), with features across the album including Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Nas, Saweetie, and more.
