TOO COOL TO BE CARELESS - PAWSA

On a roll at the minute, PAWSA, who released the massive banger ‘PICK UP THE PHONE’ with Nate Dogg at the end of May, has dropped another tune that’s sure to go off at the rave.

‘TOO COOL TO BE CARELESS’ is a simple but funky little number that also gives off some disco vibes. Funky as hell with that lead guitar bit and that irresistible bassline, he’s crafted a track that you can’t help but wiggle to at least a little bit.

Paired with the occasional starting and stopping, a warm but light synth, and feel-good vocals, and you’ve got a hit.

Lonsdale Slipons - The Bug Club

Taken from their forthcoming album On the Intricate Inner Workings of the System, which is scheduled for release on the 30th of August, Welsh band The Bug Club have given us a second taste of what to expect following the release of their lead single ‘Quality Pints’.

‘Lonsdale Slipons’ is a tribute to the “UK’s worst-ever shoes”, as the band says. Punky and a bit weird but a lot wonderful, the track’s post-chorus lead guitar riff sounds like how you’d imagine a bug would actually play an instrument. Listen to it and tell us we’re wrong.

Oh, and their forthcoming album title is actually a lot longer than that, check it out for yourselves because we’d be here all day if we typed it out.

Loved You So - High Contrast

Welsh veteran DJ and producer, High Contrast, continues to tease DnB fans as he steadily rolls out his forthcoming album. At the end of May, there was ‘Be No Rain’ and now we’ve got this tasty new track, ‘Loved You So’.

The Grammy nominee packed plenty of goodness into this track, basing it around a classic soul sample. Creating the track using the sample and a £20 organ, it’s insanely impressive how clear and brilliant sounding this is. Although, if anyone could do it, it’s probably High Contrast.

Wobbly, a bit eerie but balanced out by the organ and horns later in the track, we have a track that’ll suit plenty of occasions. It’s now up to you to choose what shenanigans this one will soundtrack…

Boiler Room - Stalley feat. Benny The Butcher

Ohio rapper, Stalley, released his new album Peerless on Friday, a 14-track album with features from Jay Worthy, Kevin Durant, Curren$y, and, of course, Griselda’s Benny The Butcher.

Boiler Room with Benny is the one we chose to put on your radar due to the smooth production, horns, drumming, and backing vocals behind their spitting.

Jazzy, hard, and moreish, if you like this, check out the album!
