Face invite supreme 'Berlinette' Ellen Allien to play one of her mesmerizing sets for Face at The Rainbow Complex on March 15th.

As one of the most fiercely fought territories in the world of electronic music, Berlin has more than it's fair share of electronic icons. From Marcel Dettmann to Modeselektor, Moritz Von Oswald to Prosumer, The German capital has a knack of fostering some of the world's most forward thinking artists.
Ellen Allien is one such Berlin luminary that has for well over a decade been forging a unique path in electronic music, ranging from the ethereal and the beautiful, to the bassy and the abstract, with overwhelming success.
Instrumental in kick-starting the careers of the aforementioned Modeselekor, as well as Apparat and Paul Kalkbrenner amidst a stack of others, Ellen Allien's scene leading BPitch control has in its 15 year career been one of the most consistently brilliant imprints in electronic music, both pioneering in its eclectic approach but reliably high quality in output.
Ellen Allien's own work has been continually edgy, veering somewhere between IDM, techno, house and electro whilst maintaining an exquisite ear for melody that permeates her productions, bound together by her whispered vocal motifs and multi instumental affectations that give her a signature sound laced with emotional resonance and warmth.
Her sets, like her Eastern Electrics appearance above are continually crammed with forgotten gems, unheard material, and a staggering selection of records grabbed from right across the electronic spectrum. Ellen's arrival at Face is eagerly anticipated to say the least.
She will be joined by Bunny and Lopaski for another belting Face line up.
