Familia Back To Back Series

If you're looking for the full blown raving experience in the capital these coming months, it doesn't get much better than Familia, a night that, anchored by resident Cristian Varela, has continued to showcase the finest in underground house and techno frrm across the globe. Over autumn, Familia will be championing the art of back to back DJing, with a trio of shows boasting exclusive joint sets from some of underground house and techno's major players.

Saturday 4th October, will witness Moon Harbour boss Matthias Tanzmann blare out an extended set on the clubs terrace floor (catch his last appearance there below), giving the tech house wizard more of a window to work his magic and send the onlooking dancefloor into a fist pumping frenzy, working alongside fellow Moon Harbour vanguards Luna City Express and Dan Drastic. The next instalment of Familia on Saturday 1st November sees pioneering Chicago, acid house producer DJ Pierre play back to back with Francois K (soundtracking the Boiler Room below), a man heavily involved in mechanizing disco into the house sound as we know it today.

With Pierre's acid house bouncing off Francois' house classics, its a guarantee that the room will be shot right back into the nineties for the 2nd birthday celebration, making it one of the most conspicuous events on the capital's raving calendar this year. Bag your tickets here.

Going out with a bang comes to mind, when putting into consideration the last of the Familia series on Saturday 6th December, when eulogised tag team Technasia and Uner purvey a six hour set of inexorable techno - the same kind of set that saw the duo really stand out at this year's Winter Music Conference. Grab tickets for that here.
