Ulverston's stunning countryside plays host to one of the most charming small festivals of the Year: Fell Foot Sound Festival.
Overlooking lake Windermere in a picturesque woodland glade, the Cumbrian terrain will be brought to life by the rich and diverse proceedings of Fell Foot Sound Festival.
With the first wave of acts announced, we can already see that there is going to be a lot to look forward to at this years edition of the festival.
Sky Larkin are set to make a welcome return to the festival. The Leeds indie rockers have been getting ever increasing attention since they formed in 2005, and after being signed to Wichita Records, have gone on to tour all across the country, even as far as America. Their performance at Fell Foot is going to be something special.
Joining them will be Cowtown. The upbeat electro, grunge, post rockers have recently released their third album to a great reception. The Leeds trio will be performing their usual mixture of fuzzy guitar pop hooks and heavily reverbed vocals, with an irrepressible party starting atmosphere. They are well worth checking out.
Along with them, sparkling and yet sinister Leeds duo Witch Hunt will be making the journey up north to liven up the serene Lake District venue, as will Bilge Pump, Bearfoot Beware, Dancing Years, Harry Ridgway, Ikestra, Nope, Sam Airey, Super Luxury, Swimming Lessons, and Two Minute Noodles.
Successfully providing a rip roaring soundtrack with a fun, friendly atmosphere, in beautiful natural surroundings, this years Fell Foot is looking pretty damned impressive. With excellent camping areas, homemade food, and unlike most festivals, a good toilet area, make sure you check out one of the best kept festival secrets of the year.
