One of the true jewels in the crown of the festival season has to be Portmeirion’s Festival No.6. It is one of the few festivals to successfully traverse the fine balance between art, culture and music. This latest batch of confirmed headliners has only gone to cement its status as one of the most eclectic and exciting festivals of the year.

2013 will welcome none other than Nile Rodgers & Chic to the Welsh countryside. Surely one of the biggest bands in history, their live performances remain truly unique experiences. With Nile’s production resumé being so damned impressive, featuring overwhelmingly successful collaborations with Madonna, David Bowie, and more recently with Daft Punk, Nile has proved over and over again that his musical prowess, talent, and hard work regularly combine to create some of the most timeless records ever recorded.

Alongside Chic & Nile Rodgers will be the legendary Gruff Rhys, who will be collaborating with post rock experimental pioneers Boom Bip under the alias Neon Neon. Bristolian innovator Tricky will also be putting in an appearance. The enigmatic forward thinking producers live shows are always a high energy, surreal, creepy, but ultimately unforgettable experience, and not one to be missed.

We can also look forward to sets from the beautiful and melancholic Daughter, Wire, Grammar, Money, Melt Yourself Down, Mary Epworth, and Dan Croll amongst many others.

For those into their dance music and electronic vibrations, Festival No. 6 has on offer what promises to be amazing sets from Massive Attack's Daddy G, DJing hero Andrew WeatherallHorse Meat Disco, Will Sargeant, Crazy P, Pete Herbert, Low Life, Guy Williams, Richard Hector-Jones, Bernie Connor and Neal Schtumm. This is in addition to the already announced performances by DJing legends Carl Craig and Frankie Knuckles. Without a doubt 2013 is proving to have in store Festival No.6’s most exciting dance lineups yet.

The festival will also feature throughout its grounds a whole host of talks, debates, film screenings, comedy, art and pop up theatre, starring the likes of John Cooper Clarke, Caitlin Moran, Paul Morley, and Man Booker Prize winner DBC Pierre.

The picturesque North Wales village of Portmeirion will once again be alive with great music, fantastic atmosphere and groundbreaking art. Festival No.6 is yet again gearing up to be one of the most stunning festivals this year.
