The tail end of festival season will see the very first edition of Fieldtrip Festival installed at Inkley just outside of Leeds in a picturesque setting, complete with panoramic view of the Yorkshire Moors.
Setting it's stall out as a celebration of arts and food, as well as music, the festival site will feature a healthy selection of real ales, international street food, and a cider fair, all inspired by the promoters' world festival travels. Elsewhere the site will be alive with comedy, mud wrestling, kamikaze karaoke (we can't wait to find out what that is), live art and plenty of creative workshops.
But what about the music?
Fieldtrip have teamed up with some of Leeds' leading clubbing brands, artists and performers, with an emphasis on quality, not simply cashing in on what is hot at the moment.
The festival has also ensnared the talents of some of the biggest names in both electronic and live music to ensure a seriously strong start to their festival campaign.
Some of the dance music aficionados involved include New York house legend Todd Terry, Berlin based Panorama Bar resident Prosumer, uncompromising broken techno don Boddika, Hessle Audio boss and DJing master Ben UFO (above) and 'true house music' exponent Darius Syrossian.
Elsewhere, British dub, hip hop and big beat pioneers Dub Pistols take centre stage (watch them in action below), with electronic pop double team Alpines involved too, showing just why bands like Florence and the Machine have enlisted them as touring partners.
Mo Kolours, Nubiyan Twist and Wildswim are just some of the other varied and original live acts set to dazzle at Fieldtrip's eagerly awaited inauguration. Get the full Fieldtrip line up here.
