Taking place from June 20th through to the 22nd, Ravenstonedale returns to, in their own words, 'hit 2014 with a vengeance'. The Cumbrian festival has in its 6 years steadily established itself as one of the north's leading festivals for championing new music, local talent, and homegrown creatives, resulting in a festival free from pretense and all the negative trappings that come with more commercial green field outings.
The Ravens Nest main stage will be home to the likes of hard rock five piece Colt 45, Geordie reggae outfit Pikey Beatz and Manchester electro rockers The Feud (listen to their new EP above) amongst a tonne of others, whilst the welcome return of the Acoustic Cafe will showcase the talents of some of the finest songwriters and spoken word poets in the region.
Elsewhere there will be a host of activities for kids to get involved with, whilst areas like the Modafil dance tent will provide a hive of rave activity for the grown ups, showing off everything from trance to techno.
Those that love their roots music are catered for too, with Jambeaters House Of Joy showing off a huge range of selectors, armed with the finest reggae, dub and ska vinyl on the planet.
With its unmatchable, friendly atmosphere and gorgeous locale, combined with a gargantuan selection of under the radar artists and performers, Ravenstondale is indeed back with a vengeance. Grab your tickets here.
