Black Grape have announced a winter 2018/2019 tour which will see them play dates across the length and breadth of the UK. The band are still lead by original frontmen Shaun Ryder of Happy Mondays and rapper Kermit, formerly of Ruthless Rap Assassins.
Black Grape will appear at Plug in Sheffield on Thursday 8th November, Engine Rooms in Southampton on Friday 30th November and a huge hometown show at Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester on Saturday 2nd February. Later dates on the tour include Tramshed in Cardiff on Friday 15th March, SUB89 in Reading on Thursday 28th March and The Mill in Birmingham on Friday 29th March.
Black Grape were formed in 1993 after Happy Mondays split up and their debut album, 1995's It's Great When You're Straight...Yeah went straight to number one in the UK Albums Chart. The band split up in 1998, but reformed in 2015 to tour the 20 anniversary of their debut album's release. They have worked together ever since, releasing a new album, Pop Voodoo in 2017.
