A true musical legend is set for a gloriously groovy date in Manchester this summer as George Clinton brings the music of Parliament and Funkadelic to Manchester Academy on Saturday 7th July.

With a plethora of funk staples, and some of the most sampled tracks of all time including 'One Nation Under A Groove', 'Not Just Knee Deep', 'Flashlight', 'Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker)' and plenty more, Clinton and co have the means to keep a crowd dancing all night - something they have been doing since the early 1970's.

In recent times, Clinton has collaborated with the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Thundercat, while he also hooked up with Outkast back in 90's, and his influence on hip hop is widely recognised and severely undisputed - and Clinton's Manchester date presents a chance to see an icon in all his glory.
