Rip-roaring riot grrrl duo Skinny Girl Diet are all set to embark on a six day tour of the UK, as they exhibit their powerful punk sound at some of Britain's finest creative spaces for Independent Venue Week.

We spoke to the group in 2017, ahead of a run of IVW shows where they told us: "gentrification is the biggest murderer of creative spaces so playing them while they're still there is awesome and hopefully we'll be helping keep them alive." and that is exactly the ethos that IVW is promoting.

Skinny Girl Diet's diet album Heavy Flow was released in 2016, dipping into influences such as MC5, David Bowie and artists from the Japanese punk genre, and the fourteen track release showcased their DIY attitude, feminist social commentary and a gritty, raw sound.

The group kick off the run of dates on Monday 29th January at Bath's Moles Club, before finishing up at Paisley's Bungalow Bar on Sunday 4th February.
