A host of musical greats will celebrate a massive 50 years since The Beatles released their seminal self titled "White Album", a two sided opus of a record that showcased the musical talents of all four members in a more explicit way then ever before and saw the band pushing yet more boundaries, as well as their own patience with one another, to create the 1968 masterpiece.
Featuring on the record are tracks that represent some of the Fab Four's finest ever work, including 'Dear Prudence', 'Helter Skelter', 'Happiness is A Warm Gun', 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' and plenty more, and these works of genius are set to be recreated this year with a huge show in the Beatles' home city of Liverpool.
With a line up that features huge names including Mike Rutherford of Genesis, Badly Drawn Boy, Hugh Cornwell and Glen Matlock along with a stellar bill of Liverpool acts including The Christians, China Crisis, Space, Thomas Lang, Miles Kane and 4 time European Jazz vocalist of the year, Connie Lush.
It's set to be a spectacular two nights as the immense troupe of musicians descend upon Pier Head on the weekend of Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September to pay homage to the city's musical prodigal sons, with Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy and The Teenage Cancer Trust the beneficiaries of all profits.
