We Were Promised Jetpacks have announced a limited number of UK dates. The much loved indie rockers Edinburgh date has been moved from The Old Dr Bells Bath to The Biscuit Factory due to high demand, taking place on Saturday 17th November and they also play The Deaf Institute in Manchester on Monday 19th November. Tickets for the Manchester show have already sold out, but you can join Skiddle's waiting list for a chance that you may get any returned tickets.
Tickets remain for what will be a homecoming show for the band in Edinburgh. After forming in the city in 2003, We Were Promised Jetpacks played their very first gigs there and in nearby Glasgow. 2018 has seen the band switch labels from FatCat Records to Big Scary Monsters in order to release their fourth album, the very recently released The More I Sleep The Less I Dream.
The album is a departure of sorts for the band, who were all on the edge of leaving their 20s when it was recorded (they've been together since they were teens). The album was recorded in the US with producer Jonathan Low who has previously worked with The National, Sufjan Stevens, Kurt Vile and The War On Drugs.
The Edinburgh show for the band is also a warm up for the city's huge EH6 Festival which takes place in Leith from 23 to 25 November, with headliners including The Coral, Jake Bugg, Kyle Falconer of The View, Twisted Wheel and Gerry Cinnamon.
