Liverpool Sound City have revealed their first wave of acts for 2013, with The Walkmen, Reverend and the Makers, Toy and Egyptian Hip Hop just some of the names announced today.

The world renowned city centre festival of music and arts returns in from 2nd - 4th May for its 6th year running, and will showcase nearly 400 artists across three days - attracting over 40,000 music lovers and more than 3,000 key industry figures.
This year will see the festival expand further to include a full film festival programme alongside the music.
Organisers have today revealed the first wave of artists set to appear at this year's festival. These are:
The Walkmen / Reverend and the Makers / Toy / Egyptian Hip Hop / Murkage / Chapel Club / Fossil Collective / The 1975 / Hawk Eyes / Swim Deep / The Family Rain
More new, established and headline acts will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
Tickets for Liverpool Sound City are now on sale through Skiddle, with a three day wristband costing just £30.
