Dry the River, Raghu Dixit Project, Nick Harper and Kidnap Alice areamongst first acts to be announced for the one day Wiltshire festival.
One of the earliest events on the festival calendar and the ideal welcome to the 2012 festival season, the intimate Honeyfest takes place on Saturday 14th April at a secret location in the Wiltshire countryside.
Following the success of last year’s inaugural sold-out Honeyfest and the airing of a prime-time BBC documentary on the making of the festival; the Honeyfest bees have been busy gathering the goods for 2012.
The festival will also be adding the all-new BBC introducing stage this year with more info coming soon; but for now the first batch of artists set to grace the Honeyfest hive this April can now be revealed.
Welcomed back for the second year and hotly tipped for big things in 2012, Dry the River will be taking to the stage. Also announced is Nick Harper, with his majestic guitar skills and endearingly satirical songs. Joining them on the bill will be cutting edge ceilidh troupe Cut-a-Shine and the genre blending Kidnap Alice who fuse bluegrass, blues and folk. Headliner news is set to be announced soon, so watch this space.
