Nottingham's Groovebox Festival has unveiled the first wave of headline acts confirmed to make an appearance at this summer's instalment, marking the brand's milestone fifth anniversary on Saturday 27th May.
The increasingly popular one-day event regularly welcomes guests from right across the UK, attracting dance floor dwellers with striking lineups and remarkable stage production. This year, up to 10,000 guests are expected to pile into Nottingham Racecourse to witness fiery live sets from Richy Ahmed, SOSA, Prunk, Eddie Chitnis and more, all of whom will perform on the TASTÉ Arena stage.
Richy Ahmed, head honcho of the revered dance label Four Thirty Two, is a greatly respected name on the circuit having operated as a promoter and a hard-working DJ for many years. Boundary-pushing house producer SOSA is part of a new generation of dance acts flying the flag for contemporary electronic music in the north whilst Dutch talent, Prunk brings a more familiar classic house sound to his live shows.
Rounding off the first wave of headliners, Eddie Chitnis is one-to-watch. The resident DJ for Nottingham club night TASTÉ blends groovy minimal basslines with rolling tech house tracks and funky house classics, keeping audiences entertained and on their toes.
Further names have yet to be announced for this year's event, as well as additional details on stages, food, drinks and more. Watch this space.
