On the verge of celebrating their fourth birthday on May 16th, On The House have in their tenure become one of Glasgow's go-to nights for underground house and tech. Having branched out to Ibiza a couple of years back, the On The House crew continue to show the kind of musical insight and party starting know-how that have seen it stand the test of time.
Ahead of their landmark rave with Leftwing & Kody on Saturday at Keller Club, we caught up with resident selector Andy Raeside to find out five tracks that have been pivotal in On The House's history.
The original of this track is an absolute masterpiece from Laurent Garnier. It's where it all began for On The House - a resident takeover within a local restaurant where we'd remove all fixtures and create our own club and host many epic parties. This song has always been a feature of our nights and is a memorable, true house classic of mine.
With a two year Ibiza residency under our belt, this track would always be the closing of our club nights or pool parties throughout the season. This personal favourite is a new age anthem which still sounds as fresh as the day I first heard it.
Catz 'N Dogz played a sell out show at our new home at Saint Judes and the atmosphere was ecstatic. People had their jackets pinned up on walls and hanging from the low ceilings, it was one of our most memorable events to date.
Resident Neil Hood reminded me of the moment when they dropped 'Work Me Goddamit' and as you can imagine the place burst into a frenzy. This was a truly defining moment for On The House - a track we will always remember.
I remember Gary Livingstone dropping this track on the Terrace of our all day party. It was around the time our sound really started to change and go down the more tech-orientated route. Everyone was dancing and punching the air, the vocal is an absolute killer.
For me this has to be the greatest house anthem of all time, a true classic which never grows old. This has been a massive track for us over the years with even myself and resident Kris Greig doing our own edit for the parties. Every time we played the track back in the O'couture days everyone's hands would be in the air singing along. The track is that good it will be played at my funeral, haha!
