Taking place in a secluded woodland, deep in the Lincolnshire countryside, Lost Village Festival arrives on Saturday May 23rd and Sunday May 24th, inviting some of the titans of underground club music to play to an intimate 5000 festival-goers.
Clearly a whole lot of work has gone into the line up, which boasts an insightful selection of techno, house, bass and all that other good stuff. After a long hard look, we've come up with five acts who for our money, are unmissable at this year's soiree.
Pampa Records boss DJ Koze is a must see wherever he plays. Responsible for one of the biggest remixes of last year (for Moderat's 'Bad Kingdom', obviously), Koze has been a major player in the German electronic scene for years, and with good reason, his mastery of melody alongside a weird and yet accessible approach means there's always a very unique, edge to his thunderous sets. Check out his birthday set above to see what we mean.
We've been a big fan of Erol for years now. The brains behind Trash, one of the most influential London clubs in recent memory, as well as the owner of Phantasy records, Erol's musical tastes continue to dig out the finest in techno, acid, nu disco and electro.
There's a passion and irreverence about his DJing style which throws up regular surprises and curveballs, whilst keeping the energy levels ridiculously high.
If it's stripped back house music with plenty of muscle that you crave, then the formidable partnership of Tristan da Cunha and Brawther, AKA Dungeon Meat will be right up your street.
Famed for best selling record 'The Fuck Off Track' and followed up with plenty more heavyweight house on their eponymous record label, Dungeon Meat always tear the roof off, expect more of the same come May 23rd.
Having already commanded reverence the world over for his ground-breaking work as a producer, Four Tet has in recent times really some into his own as a DJ too.
Whether it's banging house, obscure techno or old skool UK garage, Kieran Hebden seriously rocks as a selector. His sets are as educational as they are dance worthy, making him a hit for the heads and the ravers alike. Check his Boiler Room set to see why he's currently one of the most exciting DJs on the circuit.
In 2014 Leon Vynehall treated us to one of the finest releases of the year in the shape of Music For The Uninvited, a record that showed off the sounds of a producer really finding his own niche within house and techno.
Blending UK garage, classical, retro house, jazz and much more, Leon's eclectic nature shines through in his sets too. His deep, soulful set will undoubtedly be one of the weekend's highlights.
